What Is a Camouflage Tattoo

If you're looking for an effective way to cover up the appearance of scars, stretch marks, and skin blemishes, a camouflage tattoo is a clinically proven method that produces long-lasting results. It is classified as a pigmentation technique that blends away the appearance of scars and stretch marks. The sophisticated medical tattooing process includes using custom-formulated pigments combined with standard tattoo techniques. Posh Look offers this exclusive service which is a cost-effective alternative to surgery or laser scar removal.

If you would like to meet with one of our technicians for more information and discuss your desired goal with the procedure, we welcome you to call us.

Camouflage Tattoo: What to Expect

We want to ensure that you will benefit from a camouflage tattoo, so we will begin the service with a personalized consultation. If the technician determines the procedure is the best option for the desired results you're looking for, they will choose a color that will perfectly match the affected areas. The tattooing technique involves using a specialized tool that deposits pigment into the upper reticular area of your dermis. The technician will continue depositing the pigment into the scar until it reaches the desired color and shade.

You should expect to return for multiple sessions to achieve the desired look, typically scheduled four weeks apart. You must follow through with every session because it is essential to guarantee that the color matches your skin tone and the pigment is blended correctly.

Skin Conditions

The skin is strong and elastic, but its supporting tissues can be damaged if they stretch too far or too quickly.

This rapid expanding of the skin can lead to stretch marks.

Up to 90% of women get stretch marks during pregnancy.

However, stretch marks can affect people of nearly all ages and skin types.

As a natural part of the healing process every wound results in some degree of scaring.

What are stretch marks?

Stretch marks are lines or bands caused by stretching of the skin’s connective tissue.

Stretch marks form when the dermis, the middle layer of your skin, is stretched to a point where its elasticity begins to break down. As the dermis is stretched, the outer layer of skin, the epidermis, also stretches making it translucent enough that you can see the reddish or purple stretch mark forming. As these marks heal, scar forms, and you have a stretch mark. The lighter color happens because during the overstretching of the dermis, natural collagen production gets disrupted. This results in loss of cells who produce skin pigment.

What is the difference between red and white stretch marks?

When your skin is stretching it has a mild inflammatory response as your tissues try to adapt to the stretching effects. This explains why fresh stretch marks are red. As stretch marks heal, they’ll eventually turn white and start to become less noticeable as they fade over time.

With the use of our special pigmentation device, we apply pigments the closest to client’s skin tone into their stretch marks, scars, c-section scars, self-inflicted injuries to make them appear as less noticeable as possible.

Stretch mark Camouflage is nothing like a tattoo, except for a similar device. Everything from the needle selection, type of pigment/ink and the deposit of the pigment is different.

Stretch Mark Camouflage is a non-invasive treatment because we are depositing the pigments only from the first third to maximum second third of the dermis.

Second: A pre-treatment for camouflage

Inkless Camouflage

Many of us have stretch marks, both men & women, usually because of growth from puberty, pregnancy, weight loss/weight gain, and even from working out. Some of us wear our stripes with pride, and others hide them. This treatment gives you the boost of confidence, so you don’t have to feel like you constantly must conceal them.

Inkless treatment can help with stretch marks and scars all over the body and walks hand in hand with stretch mark camouflage.

Inkless camouflage benefits:

Meet Inkless Camouflage

Inkless treatment can help with stretch marks and scars all over the body and walks hand in hand with Stretch mark camouflage.

The technique is like PMU camouflage, but we use serum. We deposit vitamins into each stretch mark and scar to help reduce and remove their appearance.

Professional Inkless Stretch Mark treatment is one of the safest skin treatment procedures and works much better than other treatment options - such as chemical peels, dermabrasion, micro needling, MCA/CIT, dry needling, and laser.

Why?

Some of these treatments can be very effective but at the same time very invasive.

Benefits Of Inkless Camouflage

Benefits are:

  • Improved skin texture, firmness, and hydration
  • Treatment brings back the skin’s natural tone. Collagen and elastin are needed to give skin a plump, smooth, and bouncy texture.

Inkless reduces the texture and appearance of stretch marks by 30-50% and about 45% of clients need multiple sessions, depending on the severity of your stretch marks.

Improves cellular turnover, reconstruction, and rejuvenation of Fibroblast cells, Collagen, and Elastin.

Whether stretch marks are red, purple, or white, this natural treatment can reduce the texture of your stretch marks and scars by 40%-100% after just one session.

Why does inkless camouflage work?

Inkless camouflage works similar as micro needling. It creates trauma on the treated area, forces it to heal by sending fibroblasts to start the healing process. Because the cells are damaged, they start producing new collagen and elastin to repair small fractures.

We use inkless serum to ensure the needle glide and to induce much needed hydration to the treated area.

Contraindications - WE DO NOT TREAT

Do not treat if client has:

  • Hemophilia (Hemophilia is an inherited bleeding disorder in which the blood does not clot properly)
  • If client is prone to keloid scarring
  • If client has Diabetes
  • Any open wounds
  • Psoriasis
  • Any sort of skin irritations - Pigmented lesions
  • Dermatitis

Do not treat pregnant ladies or breast-feeding ladies.

After The Treatment

Do not use soap, skin cleansers, or expose skin to the sun and any UV rays on areas of inkless camouflage.

  • Do not use make-up on treated areas
  • Avoid contact with water in areas where the procedure has been performed
  • Avoid excessive exercise
  • Do not shower with hot water, sauna, solarium, jacuzzi or pool with chlorinated water for 7-10 days.
  • To prevent infection, keep the treated area clean, do not touch it with your fingers, and allow for quick and proper healing.
  • The skin around the treated area may be paler/whiter, which is completely normal. Such a condition normalizes within a few days.
  • Swelling that may occur during and after the procedure subsides within a few days. To cool the swelling, use a cooling gel for a maximum of 10 minutes every hour, so that the treated area does not get wet.
  • Bruising or discharge rarely occurs, which calms down within a week.
  • Be careful not to wet the treated area for the first 3-4 days. In case this happens, do not wipe, but soak up the water with clean gauze.
  • DO NOT SCRATCH, PULL, TEAR TREATED AREAS to avoid infection
  • There is no need to use a cream on the treated area since we applied Hyaluronic Shock. The treated area will heal itself.
